GREAT WESTERN CATTLE TRAIL ASSOCIATION
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the third month of
each quarter unless there is a conflict with a major holiday, such as Christmas.
Meetings are held at historic sites on the Western Trail and include a brief
business meeting, an optional lunch and an overview and discussion of the
history of the meeting site in relation to the trail.

The Texas Chapter of The Great Western Cattle Trail Association will
hold its 3rd quarter 2012 meeting will be held at George West in Live Oak County
Texas on September 19 at the Buck West Home on U.S Hwy 281. This location is also
the local Chamber of Commerce office.
Everyone is WELCOME, so come and bring all of your friends!
The meeting, conducted by Arthur Troell, a resident of Pleasanton, and VP-South for
the Texas Chapter, will begin at Eleven o'clock and will break at noon for a pizza
lunch. The individual cost for the lunch will be $5.00.
After lunch the meeting will re-convene and when closed a speaker from Bandera,
Mr. David Burell, will address the meeting and explain how people interested in
the history of the Great Western Cattle Trail organized a trail drive re-enactment
from Bandera to Fort Dodge, Kansas in 2004.
The Great Western Cattle Trail Association extends an invitation to attend the meeting to anyone that is interested in the history of cattle driving days and the outstanding people that made it all happen. The West Brothers, the Blocker Brothers, The Deewees Brothers, The Pryor Family and perhaps your family will be the topic of discussion.
