The Texas Chapter of The Great Western Cattle Trail was organized to preserve the history of the trail and to promote history related tourism in Texas. This trail originated in Texas and was the longest of the cattle trails. It lasted longer and carried more cattle than any other trail. We work to discover documented and oral history and we preserve it in museums and libraries throughout Texas. We encourage and promote history related tourism through tourist bureaus, chambers of commerce, events, conferences, symposiums and educational competitions. We support trail heritage in the Texas counties where the feeder trails began and in those counties through which the trail passed.

An Individual Membership is only $25 and a Corporate Membership is only $50. Memeberships will get you inculded in our E-Blasts so that your invited to meetings and events.
